Walk out of Darkness

You are invited to our annual Walk out of Darkness and Luminary Ceremony. Delhaven Community Center’s Because We Care program will be the hosting its first event of the year! The “Walk out of Darkness and Luminary Ceremony” is a special and safe space for people to open up about their personal ties to the topic of suicide.

This is a free event which will include a support walk, entertainment, professional resources, dinner, and will end with a very intimate Luminary Ceremony. During this event, the community gathers and becomes a support system for one another. Together, we remember our loved ones or those who have struggled with mental health related issues. During this special event, we remember those lost, support those impacted, spread hope and increase mental health awareness to all.

Alberto Castillo Scholarship Winners

This year we were proud to announce at our 50th anniversary celebration that this year we have five recipients of the Alberto Castillo Scholarship. The five winners are all employed in either our adult day care facilities or our after school programs and are pursuing their college degrees. Through fundraising, our upcoming Cornament event and the support of the City of Industry we will be handing out $6,000 this year. We are so very proud to have such hardworking individuals on our staff. We look forward to seeing all the great things they will go on to do.
